How did the FOIA request not include invoices for almost all this work?

Does this look like 6.5 hours of invoiceable work to you?

VOJ Legal Spending up $77,000 from 2023 to 2024!

Below is the link to McHenry County Court, CaseView website.  It shows the dispute between the Pistakee Yacht Club and the Village of Johnsburg, that started as a simple request for a declaratory judgement.  This was a path forward that the Village of Johnsburg President suggested to resolve this dispute.

You can see there have been 54 items before the judge.  The Village of Johnsburg has filed a counter suit, a third party suit, multiple motions to strike and dismiss, a motion for a summary judgement.  The documents range in length from a few pages to one with over 1000 pages including exhibits.

Do you think it is reasonable this volume of work was done for $2000?  The FOIA response from the Village of Johnsburg for the spending on this case was 41 pages in length and almost completely redacted. It did show hours and total spending throughout. This case is public, all the records are available from the courthouse.  What are they hiding by redacting the information they supplied in request to see the spending in this issue?

Below are the first few pages of the 41 pages of invoices provided. The request was for invoices for the legal services relating to the dispute with the Pistakee Yacht Club. These are the invoices the Village provided. It shows almost 500 hours of work. Does this look like transparency to you?
