Introduction

Thank you for showing an interest in Pistakee Yacht Club.   The club was established in 1897 to provide the opportunity for its members to sail and boat on Pistakee Lake and today we are still doing just that.  The club is located on the west shore of Pistakee Bay with approximately 200 feet of shoreline and provides access to the Pistakee Lake and all of the other lakes in the Chain O’Lakes.  The site is home to the Yacht Club and the Community Sailing School @ Pistakee.

At the club we have many facilities that support our mission.  The club provides docks from which members can place lifts for either sailboats or power boats.  There is a hoist for launching sailboats with a bridle and a ramp for launching dinghies off a dolly.  There is also a back lot for day sailors to store their boats.  Our clubhouse is a historic site which provides a place to gather.  The clubhouse is used for a variety of social events and is also a place for instruction by the sailing school.

If you are interested in becoming a member complete the registration process found on the Registration page under Membership. If you have questions complete the Contact Us form under the PYC tab, call us at (815) 385-9871 or check out the calendar and stop by the club during one of our events to learn more. There is also an introductory membership for new members who take a class through the sailing school.
