This session with Dave Perry – sailor, coach author and much more – is a must-see experience. He brings knowledge, humor, unparalleled credentials and a down- to-earth approach to explaining sailing tactics and rules. Dave will speak all day Saturday at Harken on a multitude of topics at the Bill Bentsen Rules Initiative, sponsored in part by the Bill Bentsen Family. The ILYA Education Committee has structured the day to include rules, tactics, boat communication and Q&A from you. Committee member Jeff Baker has selected one of his favorite Perry topics – When Things Go Dark!  You will find Dave to be open, approachable and always informative. The morning begins at 9 a.m. and will end early evening to give you flexibility and networking time. Please feel free to come and go throughout the day as we know  our winter weekends get filled with other activities.

The week prior to this pick up we try and take advantage of the brush pick up by cleaning out bush from around the trees in the backlot. This is focused on removing die brush and creating piles by the road that will be chipped. They want the material a minimum of 6 ft. in lengthen.

The club house will be cleaned by a contracted service in preparation for the season.
